Secure Access Control

The threat of terrorists and disgruntled former employees has made the need for a non-replicable, non-transferable form of identification very real. Biometrics technology provides secure access control to companies' facilities by restricting building access to only authorized personnel, using an attribute unique to the individual for identification: the fingerprint. Security and IT departments can also implement biometrics to limit employee access to certain areas of their facilities and quickly remove former employees from their systems upon termination.

All of CMI's workforce management terminals offer the ability for biometric integration. This will enable management to feel confident that:

• Only authorized personnel have access to their facilities, thereby ensuring employee safety
• Only authorized personnel have access to locations within their facilities that contain high-value inventory
• Only trained personnel can turn on and use expensive equipment, which could cost thousands of dollars or more to fix in the event of negligence
