Automated Security Gate
With Fleet Management's gate to gate tracking, fleet managers are always aware how much time their vehicles spend outside their lot and in what condition they are in when they leave or return to their lot.
Fleet Management's parking lot gate is an innovative parking lot gate that is capable of being operated unattended. If personal assistance is needed by a driver at the gate, the solution provides a dynamic intercom system. The intercom system can route calls based on the current time and day, always ensuring the proper authority is contacted at all times. In the event security personnel need to urgently open the gate, the gate can be opened remotely by security personnel. All gates include System Manager, a web enabled interface that allows fleet owners and managers to manage gate privileges and view gate usage metrics.
Entry and exit at the gate's access point is controlled by an advanced vehicle and driver authentication system, ensuring only authorized drivers may pass the gate. Adopters can choose from a number of authentication methods, allowing the gate to be seamlessly integrated with many customer and employee management systems. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) key fobs, RFID vehicle tags, fingerprint biometrics, and or barcode technology are all possible authentication methods that can be implemented into the lot gate system.
Access permissions for the lot gate can be administered remotely using System Manager, a secure web interface. System Manager features an advanced role based permission system. With a role based permission system, gate permissions can be configured to model the structure of any organization. Permissions can also be configured on an at will basis, allowing external parties such as customers or vendors to be granted temporary access.
Tail-gating can be problematic for any access point. Whether its an impatient driver or a driver willfully attempting to circumvent authentication, the lot gate's anti-tailgating sensor system will thwart any tail-gating attempts. When a tail-gating condition is detected by the gate system, the system will not open the gate. The gate's tail-gate status indicator, comprising of three luminous color coded lights, will inform drivers when they need to stop, back-up, wait, or exit from a tail-gating condition.
With System Manager, fleet managers and operators can comprehensively review all authorized through traffic and all denied drivers at each lot gate. Every time an authorized party moves through the gate, the lot gate system records front, side, and rear view snapshots of the vehicle with a time stamp. By reviewing the lot gate snapshot archive, lot owners can be aware of the type of vehicle, the vehicle condition, and the occupants of each vehicle that passes through each lot gate. The lot gate is also capable of supporting an advanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) system that can transform license plate snapshots to searchable text.
